Phase3D wins US Air Force contract to extend Fringe Inspection to ceramic composites
27 August 2026 — Phase3D has won a Phase I contract from the Department of the Air Force to extend its Fringe Inspection platform from metal additive manufacturing into ceramic matrix composites, supporting propulsion, hypersonic and thermal-protection programmes. Named end users include the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Propulsion Directorate, the Rapid Sustainment Office and AFRL’s Materials and Manufacturing Directorate.
