Phase3D partners with Wietech 3D to widen access to in-situ inspection for metal AM
Phase3D has partnered with Wietech 3D, which has worked in additive manufacturing since 2006 across aerospace, energy, government, automotive, medical and industrial sectors, to bring its Fringe Inspection layer-by-layer measurement into more metal 3D printing environments. The companies will help manufacturers improve quality control, investigate build anomalies and support process qualification. A few days earlier Phase3D was selected as a finalist to present at the 2026 ATI Horizons: Maritime Manufacturing Innovation Challenge in National Harbor, Maryland. “The maritime industrial base needs manufacturing technologies that can move from promising demonstrations into reliable production,” said founder and CEO Niall O’Dowd.
