Lexi raises $1.4M pre-seed to bring AI language access to every point of care

Lexi has closed an oversubscribed $1.4 million pre-seed round led by Informed Ventures, with participation from HBS Alumni Angels, Stanford Angels, Alumni Ventures and Van Wickle Ventures. Lexi’s AI-native communication layer for healthcare lets care teams launch secure AI interpretation across common and underserved languages on their existing systems; during its pilot the platform delivered more than 60,000 minutes of interpretation across eight departments at Lowell Community Health Center at over 60% lower cost than traditional interpretation services. The funds will go towards accelerating deployments across health centres, clinics and hospitals and increasing language coverage. “Communication is the core of healthcare. We’re building a future where everyone can advocate for their health with dignity, in any language,” said CEO Linh Pham.
